| The National
Environmental (Upper Kotmale Hydro-power Project-Monitoring) Regulations
No.1 of 2003 set out a number of meaures that must be implemented by the
project. They include measures to ensure flows are maintained over waterfall
so continuing to provide a spectacle for visitors to the area. The
UKHP is required to keep a photographic record of the falls in the area
and to install flow measuring devices above a number of falls. Click on
